Cole Koeberer, our founder, studied Animal Science at Colorado State University — but his real obsession was coffee. After graduation, he landed in Nashville with a vision to create a ready-to-drink coffee that actually tasted great. Not "great for a can." Just great, full stop.

But dreaming big takes funding. So Cole did what any scrappy entrepreneur does: he hit the local farmers markets across Middle Tennessee, slinging cold brew lattes and roasted coffee to anyone willing to take a sip. The response? People loved it. Like, really loved it.

That grassroots hustle proved there was something special here — and it wasn't long before Jackson Winum, a University of Tennessee alum with serious business chops and deep Tennessee roots, joined the team. Why "Blue Hound"?

The name is a nod to the Bluetick Coonhound, Tennessee's official state dog and the beloved mascot of the University of Tennessee. It felt like the perfect symbol for everything we stand for: loyalty, Nashville pride, and a little Southern charm.

But the name isn't just a fun fact. It's a promise. We donate a portion of every sale to local animal shelters and charities, because Cole's love for animals and coffee have always been two sides of the same coin. Every can you crack open is doing a little good in the world.
